The email address used in a DNS zone is pulled from OpenAdmin > Domains > Edit Zone Template. You can find more details in the documentation.
The SOA (Start of Authority) email can be set with the following priority:
- Manually edit
{rpemail} in the zone template.
- Set the email in OpenAdmin > Notifications (this is used for SOA in newly created domains).
- Leave the email in OpenAdmin > Notifications blank: the system will default to
admin@<DOMAIN_NAME> for future domains.
